An introduction.

Campaign for Democracy gets floating voters in marginal seats to demand a transfer of power from politicians to people, in Wales. This video is the first in the series and explains what we campaign for, the second video below explains the four ways in which we can we achieve a transfer of power from politicians to people.

An Achievable Aim.

This video explains the four ways in which we can we achieve a transfer of power from politicians to people.

Our Principles.

There are four principles that everything Campaign for Democracy is based on. This video lists and explains them.

Pluralism.

To CfD pluralism is about sharing power, not just between interest groups but between people.

Direct Democracy.

In Switzerland the people can initiate binding referendums. This has forced the four main political parties to work together in a coalition government that has lasted over fifty years.

The Reform System.

Our reform allows us to challenge abuses of power wherever they are. It also allows us to look around the world, see what works and what doesn't and bring the best back to Wales.

The Divide.

Most of us are generous and tolerant but there's a selfish minority who cause the rest of us a huge amount of harm. It doesn't have to be that way.

Diver's Dilemma.

Our political system is inherently divisive. Good systems bring people together and produce good decisions.

From Subject to Citizen.

We are subjects, the subjects of Parliament. That's going to change. We're going to be a free people, the sovereign power in our land.

Developing the Demand.

The campaign's demand is clear and easily understood. This video explains the thinking behind it.

The Right People.

One thing that's been obvious over the past few years is that we don't always get the best people at the top. That's something else we're going to change.
